Beautiful Chaos
The concept behind all my artworks is something I like to call "Beautiful Chaos", and it's based on positive and negative emotions that is connected to my own energies and a higher dimension. Through it, I want to express a wide range of emotions—colorful explosions, sensuality, beauty, fragility, and the language of the body—all driven by a deep intense passion to liberate the feminine essence. I want to express my inner voice and reveal the story behind "The Woman Behind the Mask" through my art, photography, performances, and creative collections. The exaggerated shapes of the figures in my work are manifestations of the energy I release during the creative process. I tune into myself and lose myself in a world where chaos meets beauty, where I connect with my deeper truth—"La verità profonda."
The creative process - Chapter I
I am endlessly drawn to the mysteries of life, from our first breath to our last, and all the profound experiences in between. My journey often leads me inward, to a place where I ask myself who I truly am and why I exist. I often paint naked figures as a reminder to the world of the cycles of birth and death, "The circle of our life." We enter this world naked, and we leave it in the same way. I see us all as streams of energy journeying through a human experience, and that our existence is a conversation with the divine.
Sharing my spiritual journey and beliefs is essential to me. I want to express the energy of the human body through abstract lines and dynamic shapes, capturing the spectrum of emotions, the power of sexual energy, and the profound miracle of birth. This exploration I call "The Power of Human Existence." I strive to bring people together and illuminate the profound and essential connections that unite us all, particularly among women. By capturing the grace, curves, and movements of the female form, I aim to tell the story of "The Exquisite Adventure," revealing the beauty and depth of our shared human experience."
Chapter II
Chaos and madness flow through life. Sometimes, the "spirit" I wish to reveal remains unseen. The result may manifest as a statue from ancient times, a figure from a past life, or an African mask connected to our ancestors. The contrast is rich with the texture of exaggerated shapes that embody human energy. Each color carries its unique aura, expressing life with potential, elegance, and beauty. I want to express the full power of sexuality, free from any taboos.
The creative process is profoundly powerful to me. Through meditation, writing, and vivid dreams, I feel guided by an unseen force. Everything that emerges seems right, infused with a strong sense of purpose. Often, visions unexpectedly surface, conveying messages that feel profoundly personal and significant to my journey, and I piece them together like a puzzle. I can’t plan what and when to paint. It comes and goes like the waves. I instinctively know when it's time to create. At that moment, I act and express everything within me, allowing the process to flow effortlessly. I have learned to recognise and accept the truth when it's in front of me. It comes to me like something I have known before rather than something I am doing for the first time. For me, truth is essential; it’s everything. I continue to create until my masterpiece is complete, and this process liberates my soul, making me feel truly aligned. I call this experience "The Unspoken Words." No rules exist for me. My vision guides me in each moment, and I lose myself in my beautiful chaos."
"It's both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so very deeply." — David Jones
Chapter III
I am a dreamer and a visualizer filled with desires. I invite my audience to enter my world, to connect with me and explore another dimension that embraces the possibilities of dreaming. It is a place where you can be curious, open-minded, and feel deeply without fear of judgment. I hope people appreciate the power of energies and emotions and the profound connection between the mind, heart, body, and soul. There is a continuity in the concept, with body parts linked together. I give the canvas 'life' with a touch of my soul.
I dance, letting the paint glide from my hands to my body and onto the canvas. I also incorporate brushes and various materials.  I don’t think—I simply feel. My state of mind shifts as I paint, entirely dependent on what I feel and see, and the time I invest. Within me, emotions flow like crashing waves, and passion blazes like a flame. Creating and finishing my artworks profoundly affects me both mentally and physically. The process brings me immense joy and satisfaction. However, the downside is the pain I experience in my hands, shoulders, and back. When I lose myself in my work, I immerse myself completely, forgetting my posture and how long I've been painting. I feel the physical impact afterward, but the experience remains intense and beautiful. It is through the language of art and movement that I truly express myself, letting my spirit communicate in ways that words cannot.
"Find what you love and let it kill you." — Charles Bukowski
Chapter IIII
I have always felt a deep curiosity about exploring my family history and understanding where my roots originate, starting from my name. When I was born, during the war, my grandmother named me "Chira", meaning light or flame—something that cannot be destroyed. This name holds profound significance for me. I feel in my blood the strength of all the women that came before me. My mother gave me life and light, marking my "new beginning." Her strength and grace have echoed through generations, as my grandmother's before her. The power of these women, who have shaped generations, is a profound source of inspiration
What does my art mean to me and why do I create ?
My art is an extension of my soul, a language beyond words, where I communicate the depth of my emotions and the beauty of existence. Each stroke, each shade, is a whisper of my spirit, and through creation, I connect with the essence of life itself. I want to share my truth, my visions, and my feelings to inspire and connect with people around the world. I believe that the essence of life is in discovering and understanding our own truth. It's about exploring new emotions, creating new experiences with ourselves and others. There's always something more to uncover; we just need the courage to look deeper and connect with our inner selves. Balancing both positivity and negativity is crucial, as we function through a dance of contrasts. Progress and growth come from embracing change and stepping beyond our comfort zones. Change is not something to fear; it's a gateway to new discoveries and beautiful truths. Through my art, I strive to unite people, sharing my journey and my truth with the world.
This is my story, my essence.
"When I dance, when I paint, I feel the pulse of life within me—
a rhythm that breathes and awakens, where every movement and stroke ignites my soul."
— Chira Latif
